Types of Information We Collect and How It Is Used
We only gather personal information when voluntarily submitted by you. For example, personal information may be collected from you when you register on any of our web sites, give your feedback on our web sites and our products or enter one of our prize promotions. This may include names, age, addresses and email and social media addresses.
Sharing of Personal Information
We may share personal information within the Ca’puccino Group of Companies (being the Ca’puccino Head Office and each of its subsidiaries together with their respective franchisees throughout Europe) hereafter the “Ca’puccino Family of Companies”) and also with certain selected companies who are either our partners that perform a function such as prize-provision within our promotions and offers. Our partners may also include agencies and suppliers whom we have retained to assist us to more effectively fulfil orders, manage and conduct promotions and offers, provide technical assistance and support and perform other functions to support our marketing activities.
Please note that some of our restaurants may be franchised and these included in the term Ca’puccino Family of Companies. As such, if your complaint, enquiry, suggestion or praise relates to a franchised restaurant, we may forward your personal details to the Franchisee to deal with your communication.
The Ca’puccino Family of Companies throughout Europe will have access to your Personal Information but our partners will only have access to personal information if needed to perform such functions (which may include ones to which you have expressly given your consent) and not for any other purpose.
Occasionally, and subject to you not having asked us not to do so, we may send you marketing information news about the Ca’puccino Family of Companies as well as their offers, discounts, and promotions as well as prize competitions.
Occasionally, and subject to you not having asked us not to do so, this may also include marketing information about or from a promotional partner.
Communications sent by us will include an unsubscribe option and if you unsubscribe we will cease sending you communications. You can also unsubscribe via our website.
Also, we reserve the right to use or disclose any information as needed to satisfy any law, regulation or legal request, to protect the integrity of the site, to fulfil your requests, or to cooperate in any law enforcement or regulatory investigation.
Except as set out above we do not sell, transfer or disclose personal information we have collected from you.
We may transfer the data that we collect from you to a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”), for example where we use servers and information processors overseas and by submitting your personal data to us, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. Transfers will be subject to equivalent protection to the Data Protection legislation existing in Europe.
We are very sensitive to privacy issues involving children and proud of our long time commitment to privacy. We will not usually require information about a child other than name and age and will normally collect information on the parent in case we need to make contact. Our policy is not to collect personal information from any child under 14 unless for a specific activity where the child’s parent or guardian has given consent to the collection of that data. Where we collect information from children under 14, we will normally delete this information promptly (as long as we know it relates to children under 14) once the purpose of collection has ended. For example, we may collect a child’s email address in order to enter the child in an online prize promotion and to send them further but limited online communications that they have opted to receive, including results and the opportunity to participate in promotions as a winner. We will not collect (nor encourage any child to give) more detailed information, such as a postal address or a telephone number without the consent of a parent or guardian.
Our policy is that our online and in-restaurant activities will not generally involve the publishing of any identifying personal data relating to a child under 16 beyond their first name (so, for example, we may feature their drawing and first name), but if there is any specific occasion where publication is proposed
featuring anything other than their first name only is proposed then this will not take place unless that child’s parent or guardian has given their specific informed consent to the proposed publication.
We urge parents to regularly monitor and supervise their children’s online activities.
Your right to submit the forms described above is separate from and does not affect your rights under applicable privacy and communications legislation throughout the European Union as appropriate.
